Great new look to website. Need a bit more Shooty Babitt images, though. Little known fact: In 1981 Shooty shared a 3-way tie for 5th place in the AL Rookie of the Year voting garnering 4 out of 251 votes. Was beaten out by that prima donna Dave Righetti thanks to Steinbrenner buying 127 of the votes. Next in line was Rich Gedman with 64 votes and Bob Ojeda with 36 (both Boston teammates–an obvious East Coast bias). Where are the top 3 today? That’s right, all are retired cuz they are weak…if they were so damn good they’d still be playing every day. Shooty got robbed!!
